Learn the process. Build the formula. Make Master Elderberry with me. A recipe tells you what to put in the jar. This class starts teaching you how to think about what belongs in the jar and why.

In this hands-on demand mini class, I'm teaching you the basic process I use to think through and build an herbal formulation and we're using my Master Elderberry blend as our real-life example from beginning to end.

Instead of simply telling you “put these herbs in a jar,” we'll talk about how a formula comes together: choosing a purpose for your blend, selecting herbs that complement one another, deciding how much of each herb belongs in the formula, working with ratios, choosing an extraction method, and turning that idea into an actual finished herbal preparation.

Then you'll take what you're learning and formulate alongside me using the pre-portioned Master Elderberry herbs included with your kit. The goal isn't just to leave with Master Elderberry. The goal is to start understanding WHY you're putting a formula together the way you are.

WHAT YOU'LL RECEIVE PHYSICALLY

You'll receive the pre-portioned dried herbs used in our Master Elderberry example formulation.

Your herbs are measured and packaged so you can follow along with the formulation process at home while we work through the class together. Physical kit includes dried herbs only (no dropper vial or cheesecloth). You'll supply your own jars, extraction liquids and basic kitchen/formulation equipment.

WHAT YOU'LL RECEIVE DIGITALLY

You'll receive a detailed Herbal Formulation PDF that you can download and keep as a reference, along with the accompanying Master Elderberry formulation video lessons. Your PDF goes deeper than the videos and contains the detailed educational information, measurements, ratios, formulation notes, extraction guidance, safety information, and reference material. The videos are designed to be your visual companion. You'll see me work through the process and formulate Master Elderberry so you can connect what you're reading with what it actually looks like in practice.

Important: The PDF is your primary detailed resource. The videos are there for demonstration and visual reference, so I may not verbally repeat every piece of information included in your written materials.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

Choose herbs intentionally and understand the role each herb plays in a balanced formula.

Understand herbal energetics and how different qualities can complement one another. Choose between whole, cut & sifted, and powdered herbs depending on what you're making. Understand different extraction bases and why you might choose ACV, glycerin, alcohol, or even combination extractions. Work with herb-to-liquid ratios, strength, weight vs. volume, and absorption so you can recreate and adjust formulas instead of guessing. Think through a formula from the original idea all the way to extracting, straining, storing, labeling, and troubleshooting.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Please have a few basic kitchen tools available, including a digital kitchen scale and kitchen thermometer, along with clean jars, measuring tools, straining materials, and the extraction ingredients listed in your class materials.
